When I hear this from people telling this or something similar to their kids, I always think about that
a child don’t owe you anything
Your children didn’t ask for you to have sex so they could be born. You as a person decided to have a child. Parents who guilt or force their kids into spending time/money/resources on them disgust me. If you are a good parent, your children will want to spend those things with you. If not, it’s your fault, not theirs. - Your children don’t owe you anything just because you created them.
