#47: Freedom

1 min read

And then we need to look down on wealth, which is the wage of slavery. Gold and silver and everything else that clutters our prosperous homes should be discarded. Freedom cannot be won without sacrifice. If you set a high value on her, everything else must be valued at little. ― Seneca, Letters from a Stoic

The quote above reminds me about that if you want to have more time for yourself you don’t need to own more stuff. Take as an example your clothes or shoes. How many pieces you wear at the end and how much stuff just takes space and gets rotten with no purpose. So if you just don’t use something or you have no need just give it away or throw it away. Regarding to clothes and shoes you don’t have to stress yourself anymore to think about what to wear. So you have more time for things which are important to you. You will have more freedom.
